Birthdays

This is an information book about birthdays. It starts with the familiar concept of a birthday and looks at different ways that children from different cultures may celebrate their birthdays. It follows with a hands-on activity in which children can make a pop-up birthday card. The book then looks at a timeline of Nelson Mandela’s life as an example of someone who has had many birthdays. Special birthdays, like 27 April (Freedom Day) and New Year, in different cultures and religions follow.
