Will an ambitious engineer compromise his heritage in the name of development and wealth? Will a struggle comrade whose life has not improved let him do so? Sibusiso Mamba’s thought-provoking play explores the energy and optimism of progress at all costs as it interacts with frustration
at continuing poverty.
The action takes place in a gritty tunnel being built for the Gautrain, as well as a more dreamlike space. Sifiso and Vavi are forced to confront their pasts and the way their attitudes will affect their own futures, as well as the future of South Africa.
